Our vision at Be the Oak is to join forces with fathers and to use education, training and other resources that are traditionally under-utilized in our community to support and enrich the lives of our children.

It is our wish that through our services and programs, fathers will acquire the parenting skills and community support that is sometimes necessary to Be The OAK for their family, Be The OAK for their communities and eventually Be The OAK for society.

Be The OAK Fatherhood Initiative Program of Florida, Inc. is also the new South Florida Affiliate for Fathers and Families Coalition of America.

The Problem: Two Sides to Every Story

Despite the increasing number of organizations with services and programs for fathers and families, communities continue to lack a body of knowledge about the characteristics, roles, and impact of these organizations and issues they face as they try to provide professional services to assist them. As a result fathers and families slip through the cracks, and both the members of society that need these services and the organizations who are attempting to deliver them become frustrated with the lack of positive outcomes for the communities they service.

The Solution: Be The OAK!, Inc

Fathers and organizations both face legitimate issues, however the main issue of actually giving and receiving help between the two still needs to be addressed. Be The OAK!, Inc., focuses on this main issue by placing fathers, families, practitioners, and organizations on a common ground with the passion to support them and make a viable difference in the lives and careers of all parties involved.

It is not just a day of free food, fun activities and brochures, but providing the opportunity to promote viable lasting connections! We are committed to connecting fathers and families to organizations and programs who are advocators of strengthening fathers, strengthening families, and strengthening the communities that they are part of. We strive to empower and evoke the spirit of change within every community we enter into.

This initiative demonstrates to fathers and families the importance of advocating for their needs and the needs of their community through connecting with others. This will be accomplished as we continue to travel the state of Florida and provide a fun-filled and festive atmosphere that inspires fathers, families, organizations, and practitioners alike to Be The OAK for their Families, Be The OAK for their Communities, and eventually together...Be The OAK for Society!
